The European sourcing and service providing company Solar started they own ERP implementation 4 years ago. After chaotic beginnings, they decided to capitalize on the lessons learned from their prior 5-year Lean journey to ensure a smooth, quality and customer-focused deployment of the new ERP system throughout the company.

Biography: Klaus Lyck Petersen is the group process manager for Solar. Klaus is an innovative leader with a high drive working with an international team operating in the 13 subsidiaries of the group. He has a been implementing Lean for over 11 years in various companies, focusing on developing people, managers, concepts all under the Lean thinking philosophy. He has led Solar's Lean journey for over 7 years carrying out a complete transformation of the management system and way of doing business. In 2010 the company won the Productivity award for the best Lean program in Scandinavia.
